Along with this ranking, the Hawkeyes had three players who received preseason recognition.

Offensive linemen Logan Jones and Gennings Dunker, along with Kaden Wetjen. Wetjen has been named preseason All-Big Ten in the All-Purpose Specialist category.

Penn State is favored to win the Big Ten Football title, with Ohio State projected to finish in 2^nd place and Oregon in 3^rd place.

Last season, Iowa ended the year in 6^th place with an overall record of 8-5 and a conference record of 6-3.
