The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Detroit Lions 34-7 in the Hall of Fame Game held in Canton, Ohio.
Quarterback Trey Lance completed 13 of 20 passes for 120 yards as the threw two touchdowns. However, he wasn’t the only standout in the game. Running back Kimani Vidal rushed for two touchdowns, while wide receiver Keandre Lambert-Smith and Will Dissly both contributed by having a receiving touchdown.
After Trey Lance made a statement in today’s game, he expressed his motivation to continue improving throughout the preseason.
“Keep trying to get better and keep trying to build on what we did tonight.” Trey Lance.
The Chargers’ defense also performed impressively recording three interceptions during the game. Nikko Reed received one interception, while Myles Purchase and Tony Jefferson added another late in the game. Safety Emany Johnson contributed with seven total tackles.
This team looks to build on their string performance in the Hall of Fame Game as they prepare for the New Orleans Saints.
