Kansas State suffered a loss to Iowa State for thrid consecutive season, falling 24-21. The Wildcats' offense got off to a slow start, going three-and-out on their first two possessions.


Quarterback Avery Johnson kept the team competitve, throwing for 273 yards and completing three touchdowns. Johnson connected with wide receivers Jayce Brown and Jerand Bradley for a touchdown each, and he also rushed for a touchdown.


Kansas State's receivers had a strong performance with Jayce Brown making 4 receptions for 78 yards and 1 touchdown, while Jerand Bradley recorded 3 receptions for 75 yards and 1 touchdown.


On the defensive side, Kansas State's defensive backs Donovan McIntosh and Zashon Rich both recorded 8 total tackles with 5 solo tackles each.


With this loss, Kansas State's record now stands 0-1. The Wildcats will now turn their attention to their upcoming game against North Dakota State University.
