Jordan Pierre secured third place in the Men's 400-meter event with a time of 45.75 seconds. He was also named a First-Team All-American.

Notably, Pierre is the only runner from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and any Historically Black College or University (HBCU) to medal at the Division I NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

In this event, Samuel Ogazi from Alabama took first place with a time of 44.84 seconds, while William Jones from USC finished second with a time of 45.53 seconds.

Although Pierre did not clinch first place, the Golden Lions continue to shine on a big stage. Last year, jumper Caleb Snowden also earned third place and was named a First-Team All-American at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
