As all 32 teams kicked off training camp, there have been some contract issues going on with All-Pro players, including All-Pro Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons, All-Pro Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson and All-Pro Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin.
The Dallas Cowboys have yet given Micah Parsons an extension, which showed as he watched practice today. Parsons explains that he wants to stay with the Cowboys, “I want to be here. I’ve always stated I want to be here, but at the end of the day, they sign checks like always, “according to The Athletic. Last season Parsons recorded 30 solo tackles and 12 sacks.
Parson also included that he would accept the team’s decision if they choose to move on without him. “If this don’t want me here, they don’t want me here. I’ll go about my business. I understand the nature of the business,” Parson said according to The Athletic.
Trey Hendrickson has encountered a similar situation with the Cincinnati Bengals, as he has not received a new contract either. Hendrickson did not report to Bengals training camp this week, which led the team to put him on the “Did Not Report” list. Last season, Hendrickson had 33 solo tackles and lead the NFL with 17.5 sacks.
Meanwhile, Terry McLaurin was absent from training camp as he seeks for a new contract. McLaurin mentioned that he’s been very frustrated on July 15th to reporters but emphasized that he does not plan to request a trade, as he wants to play for the Commanders this season. Last season, McLaurin recorded 82 receptions for 1,095 yards and was second place for touchdowns after having 13 touchdowns.
