In a recent matchup, the Cleveland Browns faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles, with Dillon Gabriel starting as quarterback while Shedeur Sanders was sideline due to an oblique injury. Additionally, Kenny Pickett was also unavailable due to a hamstring injury.

Gabriel had a solid performance, completing 13 of 18 passes for 143 yards. However, he had two turnovers, which included one interception and a fumbled handoff. Despite the mistakes, Gabriel managed to take control of the offense, leading the Browns into the red zone before handing off the ball to running back Ahmani Marshall.

The competition between Sanders and Gabriel is becoming more intense, making head coach Kevin Stefanski’s decision on the backup quarterback behind Joe Flacco even more challenging.

In Sanders debut against the Panthers, he performed well, going 14 for 23 for 138 yards with 2 touchdowns in the first half. He continued to lead the Browns’ offense in the third quarter, helping secure a 30-10 victory over Carolina without any turnovers.

With Cleveland defeating Philadelphia 22-13, the Browns will now prepare to face the Los Angeles Rams at Huntington Bank Field. This final preseason game will play a crucial role in determining the team’s backup quarterback situation moving forward.
